Sadie Loves Yoga – A Book Review
Feb 14, 2016
The one prerequisite for a child to practice Yoga is a desire to do it. “Sadie Loves Yoga” by Molly Schreiber, can inspire a child to practice. The reader learns how Sadie felt before she practiced Yoga and how she feels now that she practices Yoga every day “to be the best Sadie I can for everyone I meet.”
Children will be able to relate to Sadie feeling grumpy in the morning, fighting with her brother and sister throughout the day and bored at school. And they may be surprised to learn that Yoga not only helped her balance better but to also enjoy each moment of her day. Who wouldn’t want to try Yoga when Sadie shares, “With Yoga, my life is brighter, happier and much calmer.”
Rather than a “how-to” Yoga book for kids, of which there are now hundreds, “Sadie Loves Yoga” paints the transformation for the reader of what life is like for many kids before they practice Yoga and what it can be like with an enjoyable daily practice.
This book will inspire kids to go find a Yoga teacher in their community, like former elementary education teacher and current kids Yoga teacher, author Molly Schreiber in Dubuque, Iowa.
