As adults, we have a lifetime of habits, preferences and beliefs – many unexamined – that color our experience of life. Thoughts and emotions co-arise with bodily sensations and as we learn to tune into felt sense in the body, we begin to unearth entrenched patterns that may be leading us to feelings of dissatisfaction and suffering. Limiting beliefs are transformed in the light of awareness, unleashing a tremendous amount of energy and leaving us free to experience life fully – as it is.
Yoga Nidra is the practice of learning to welcome what is, as it is. During our time together we will practice Yoga nidra in a sheltered, supportive environment. Each morning will begin with an asana practice focused on tuning into the felt sense of each pose. A formal Yoga nidra session will conclude each morning practice - followed by a freshly prepared vegetarian brunch.
There will also be a 4-hour workshop one afternoon for discussion and practice of specific Yoga Nidra techniques. You will study the precise structure of the practice and the effects behind it. You will experience and practice methods for sharing Yoga Nidra with your students – children and adults. You will learn the strategies behind simple story telling that can bring children into a deep state of peace and ease.
Take time away from your routine as you take your practice to the next level. You will return home feeling refreshed, transformed and empowered.
