Using Yoga to Help Children Self-Regulate
In this workshop adults will learn to teach specific techniques to help the children in their lives self-regulate and self-soothe. Controlled breathing, guided visualizations, deep relaxation, and rhythmic movement from the Yoga tradition help regulate and balance the nervous system. This results in more organized thinking and better motor planning. It can help children with attention deficit, learning and sensory processing challenges as well as emotional and behavioral imbalances. The practice is taught in an age-appropriate manner that makes it safe and engaging. Children gain the self-awareness and self-mastery that allows them to experience their environment and relationships with others with a sense of joy and ease.
