Distance Learning

There are three great ways you can learn about Yoga for children - even if you are unable to study with us in person.

  1. GFY At Home is a mentored self-study program. You will be guided through the learning process with our comprehensive Study Guide and mentored along the way by GFY's Director of Training. The program will provide you with many resources, ideas, techniques and tools that will enable you to share the benefits and joys of Yoga with children for years to come. It includes the cautions and considerations of working with developing minds and bodies, teaching techniques for all ages, how to plan a children's Yoga class, many ideas for games, tips for creating a cooperative classroom, and much more. A certificate of completion is available for those who complete the requirements of the program.
  2. eCourses - are a way for you to access information on specific topics related to teaching Yoga to children and families. Each week you will receive a new lesson in the series by email. Each lesson contains valuable information along with specific Yoga techniques you can use right away.
  3. Tele-Learning - Every month our Director of Training, Mira Binzen E-RYT, facilitates a teleconference on topics related to Yoga for children. These learning opportunities are only available to members of our Ohana program. As a member of our Ohana you are invited to participate. If you are unable to attend, you will have access to a recording of the call.

If you'd like to join us in person for one of our workshops or trainings, please visit our calendar for a list of upcoming events.
