Global Family Yoga's mission is to enhance the wellness of children and families through awareness. We provide services and products focused on the development of children, their families and communities. The ancient scientific techniques and practices of Yoga are the backbone of our approach.
The science of Yoga is a system for living. Its practices include expanding the breath, expanding awareness, and learning to relax deeply and completely. Fun, engaging and simple movements are included to tone and strengthen all the systems in the body for excellent health. The ability to find inner peace, relax completely and be more flexible – in mind and body - is extremely valuable to young people today. The added physical benefits of improved strength, coordination, and balance that Yoga can provide are also important in cultivating lifelong healthy habits and a strong sense of self.
With family as the central focus, Global Family Yoga supports communities throughout the world in fostering responsible, engaged global citizens who experience optimum health, expanded awareness, deep peace and a true sense of interconnectedness. We offer a wide variety of trainings, workshops, and classes to meet the needs of families, yogis, teachers, nannies, healthcare professionals, social workers and anyone else involved in the well being of children.
Our trips and retreats give families an opportunity to laugh, learn and explore together. Each trip involves daily Yoga, youth/family focused activities, interaction with the local community, sight seeing and adventures with a focus on the local culture, along with plenty of time to relax. All in some of the most beautiful settings in the world.
Along the way we collect treasures from local artisans and crafts people. It’s our joy to bring their unique creations to you along with other merchandise that supports the mission and values of GFY. Please join us for a weekend of learning, an intensive certification program, an adult Yoga retreat, or a fun and fascinating family vacation.
Children come into this world very pure. It is up to the adults to help them stay bright, strong and healthy."
